these channels transfer of technology from the developed to the developing
countries, urban to rural can takes place mainly by three mechanisms
1. Firstly, technologies can be imported from
developed countries through agreements involving onetime payment or royalty
over a period of time or both.
2. Secondly, the method of acquiring technology is
through foreign direct investment
3. Thirdly, vertical transfer of technology, which
essentially involves indigenous development of such technologies through
research and development and their dissemination to and diffusion into the
society.
